I inherited the love of sports and basketball from my father who was known for promoting basketball in the South and East of Serbia, organizing tournaments and camps among other things, so my engagement in this project comes quite naturally to me. I’m a co-founder and one of the organizers of Jaramaz Basketball camp, along with the longtime friends I made thanks to basketball. Jaramaz Basketball Camp isn’t only a place where basketball is learned. It’s a space where education and perfecting of basketball skills is nurtured and, maybe most important of all, where new friendships of young generations are formed. My dedication to this project reflects my desire to pass my knowledge and passion for basketball onto younger generations, teaching them not only techniques and skills of the game, but also the values of team work, mutual respect and love for sports.
“As a child, I attended various club and national team camps, as well as private basketball camps, taking away the most beautiful memories from each of them. My partner on this project is a person I met through playing and socializing in one of these basketball events. Our acquaintance later evolved into friendship during many moments together both on court and outside of it. I hope that Jaramaz Basketball Camp will become the starting point of new friendships through shaping and learning of basketball skills.”
